Scholarships
Helping Support the Next Generation
The Somerset Steam and Gas Engine Association will award a scholarship to local students planning to attend or currently attending college or trade school.
Any local high school senior or recent graduate may apply for scholarship consideration. Applicants will be judged based on factors such as scholastic merit, community involvement, and career goals that promote agriculture or engineering-related fields. Scholarships of up to $1000 may be awarded depending on the number of applications received, the availability of scholarship funds, and the merits of character and achievement of the applicants.
Applicants must submit an application, in essay form, no later than March 31, to:
SS&GEA Scholarship Committee
P.O. Box 492
Somerset, Virginia, 22972
The essay should include sufficient information about the applicant as to need and goal that would aid the Scholarship Committee in making its final decision.
